Oistins Fish Festival
Oistins host its annual festival celebrating the local fishing industry by providing the local Bajan dishes; the best fried fish you can ever taste plus fish cakes, salads, fries and of course fried chicken. Opening Ceremony at Oistins Boat Yard. Concerts and competitons including the Greasy Pole & Net throwing are some of the highlights. Local arts and craft will also be on show at the sidewalk sales.

National Senior Games
To be held at the National Stadium from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Tickets cost $3.00 for all stands, V.I.P are $5.00. Persons 40 and over compete in various events; Track and Field, Sack Races, Basketball, Table Tennis & Netball. This year will also include Swimming & Cycling. Registration Forms for persons interested are at; National Sports Council, Sports & Games & the National Assistance Board. National Heroes Day
Barbados National Heroes Day celebrates the life and achievements of 10 of its most notable citizens - Grantley Adams, Errol Walton Barrow, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Frank Leslie Walcott, Sir Hugh Springer, Clement Osbourne Payne, Charles Duncan O'Neal, Samuel Jackman Prescod, Sarah Ann Gill and Bussa - the legendary leader of the slave rebellion. Events & celebrations take place in Hero's Square Bridgetown.
